About The Position

The Assistant Regional Director, Corporate Development is primarily responsible for managing and supporting corporate fundraising. This role focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of corporate prospects as assigned by the Senior Regional Director, Corporate Development. Key duties include account management, prospect pipeline development and solicitation, writing proposals, making presentations, and organizing travel arrangements. The position involves soliciting funds from corporate partners to support the FFA vision and mission, including FFA programs, agricultural education, scholarships, exhibitors, and other special projects approved by leadership. The role is responsible for meeting an annual fundraising goal and arranging meetings with assigned corporate partners to secure funds. Collaboration with program managers to understand recognition and engagement opportunities is essential. Additionally, the role provides assistance to National FFA and FFA Foundation staff, as well as other agricultural education groups, in areas such as National Convention planning, tour arrangements, and special project requests. Account management and tracking responsibilities are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant fundraising experience required.
  • Previous fundraising, sales, or corporate social responsibility experience required.
  • Successful experience in making cold calls.
  • Experience in developing cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated record of completing assignments.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • National travel approximately 40-50%.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently in a frequently changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication, and project management skills.
  • Strong initiative.
  • Ability to interact and work with a diverse group of internal/external people.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.

  • Experience in fund development preferably in higher education or agriculture related organizations or equivalent work experience.
  • Some previous FFA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support corporate fundraising.

  • Arrange corporate partner activities during the National FFA Convention & Expo.
  • Manage relationships with corporate representatives, including meetings and engagement with National FFA.
  • Ensure dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Act as a team player while also being able to work independently in a frequently changing environment.
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication, and project management skills, with strong initiative.
