About The Position

The Assistant Regional Administrator is involved in regionwide projects, statewide advocacy, strategic planning, and company leadership. He/she/they represents SBHG and its agencies to the region’s governmental agencies, elected officials, professional associations, and the community. The Assistant Regional Administrator oversees the management of the day-to-day operation of designated facilities. This position assures compliance with Federal, State, County and local laws and regulations. Assistant Regional Administrators oversee Administrators and Directors who directly manage these programs or provide direct management in their absence, as well as regional support staff. Assistant Regional Administrators assures that there are comprehensive quality treatment programs and services for all clients, reviews and approves all policies and procedures of the agencies, and supports the consultation and oversight provided by SBHG executives and their departments. Assistant Regional Administrators assists the organization in business development and contract negotiations throughout the region. The Assistant Regional Administrator will oversee our 24/7 programs, traveling between the northern and central regions of California. Responsibilities include promoting SBHG's mission, motto, and core values, coordinating management duties with the Senior Regional Administrator, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The role involves supporting and developing senior-level leadership, developing and monitoring the operational budget and capital expenditure, supervising and evaluating administrators, directors, and regional managers. Additionally, the Assistant Regional Administrator will maintain strong relationships with agency, county, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social services, health care administration, public administration, or equivalent related field required (unless RN).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., Program Administrator, Sr. Program Director, Executive Director).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing 24/7 behavioral health programs.
  • Licensed as LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Psy.D. preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (CA) required, if education is in nursing.
  • Valid California Driver’s License required.
  • Valid CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid ProAct certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Successfully completing pre-employment Health Screening and TB clearance.
  • Receipt of “clear” or approved Live Scan results and Criminal Background Clearance.
  • Must be over the age of eighteen (18).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business administration, social services, health care administration, public administration, or equivalent related field, and MSW, MFT, PCC, or Psychology PhD preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (for Assistant Regional Administrator overseeing 24/7 programs only).
