About The Position

Foster Farms is seeking an Assistant Ranch Foreperson for their Amber Road Breeders location. This role is responsible for overseeing farm operations, including managing the chicken house environment, egg collection, mortality disposal, operating farm equipment, bird placement and preparation for shipment, maintaining compliance with company programs and safety standards, and managing farm labor. The position requires excellent communication skills with higher authority and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of successful poultry management experience.
• Outstanding motivation: must be self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Good oral and communication skills and good math skills.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Strong mechanical skills are preferred.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making adjustments to chicken house environment.
• Collection and proper handling of eggs.
• Collection and proper disposal of daily mortality.
• Operation of tractors and equipment for the cleaning of chicken houses and farm maintenance.
• Set up and placement of birds.
• Preparation for ship out of birds.
• Maintain compliance to company programs, procedures, & safety standards.
• Management of farm labor and maintain good employer/employee relations.
• Excellent communication skills with higher authority.
• Accurate completion of all records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
