Jabil is seeking an Assistant Quality Systems Manager to work in Richardson, TX. How will you make an impact? As an Assistant Quality Systems Manager with Jabil, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Jabil's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements. You will also assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality systems role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or medical devices.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100).
  • Experience of participating in internal or external audits.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, FDA, customer audits) by preparing documentation, facilitating audit activities, and tracking corrective actions.
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues, including non-conformances, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and customer complaints.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing quality metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
  • Contribute to the training and education of employees on quality system requirements and best practices.
  • Support the management review process by preparing data and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure quality system integration and effectiveness.
  • Perform periodic reviews of quality system processes to ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality management.
  • Other duties as they may be assigned.
