About The Position

Manufactured Housing Enterprises (MHE) is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for its Colonial Estates community in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role is with The Caton Companies, a firm that manages manufactured housing communities throughout Virginia. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for a variety of duties related to the community, its residents, and potential residents. The core duty is to protect, maintain, and enhance the value of the community to maximize financial returns for the owner and benefit residents. This is achieved through the direction and coordination of operational activities, leasing, and marketing, representing the property owner to tenants and the public.

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of manufactured home construction techniques, manufactured home maintenance, marketing and advertising
  • Strong sales and excellent customer service skills
  • High energy sales personality with ability to interact in a positive manner with prospects and customers
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing
  • Strong administrative skills and problem-solving ability
  • Mid-level skills in Microsoft Office products (word, excel, outlook)
  • High school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business discipline are required.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Registered Housing Specialist license through NC Department of Insurance
  • Knowledge of Manufactured Housing Sales and Marketing
  • Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly meet with residents to receive rent payments.
  • Collect or follow up on late rent payments, sometimes by visiting residents' homes.
  • Show available units to interested individuals, which may include model homes or actual available residences.
  • Protect, maintain, and enhance the value of the community.
  • Maximize the owner's financial return.
  • Benefit residents and the community.
  • Direct and coordinate the center's operational activities, leasing, and marketing.
  • Represent the property owner to both tenants and the public.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all property associates.
