About The Position

We have a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Community Assistant Manager to join our team and growing company. GMC Property Management is a family owned and managed company that has been in the multi-family industry for over 30 years. Our ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 to 4 years’ leasing or Assistant Manger experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should be detailed-oriented, organized and able to multi-task.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ leasing or Assistant Manager experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
• Certified leasing Professional or similar designation or two years of leasing experience
• Pleasing personality and ability to work well with the general public
• Common sense and judgment in day to day matters
• Even-tempered
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to solve resident, personal, and financial problems
• Neat, clean and appropriate appearance
• Applicant must pass criminal, credit and drug screenings

Nice To Haves

• Accounting and administrative background preferred

Responsibilities

• Help prospective residents in finding an apartment home
• Enter all new move-ins and move-outs into the operating system
• Market the apartments
• Adhere to all accounting directives
• Make bank deposits daily or as required
• Ensure the residents are provided a safe, clean, well-maintained community
• Update the apartment board with new move-outs and ready units
• New move-out inspections for deposit refund processing
• Changing rents to current market rate as they are vacated
• Purchasing or authorizing purchases for all maintenance work
• Approves or rejects rental applications
• Collecting all rents, both current and past due
• Updating all advertising
