About The Position

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for helping maximize property performance through leasing, rent collections, resident relations, and operational problem-solving. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people, thrives on solving problems, and takes pride in producing measurable results. You will be expected to drive occupancy, support resident retention, collect rents, and help ensure the property operates efficiently every day.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of successful experience as an Assistant Property Manager
Strong leasing, sales, and customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong financial and mathematical aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with fair housing

Nice To Haves

Experience with Yardi software preferred
Apartment leasing experience
Multi-property or large community management experience

Responsibilities

Conduct apartment tours and professionally present the community
Follow up on all leads promptly through phone, email, and text
Monitor market competitors and provide leasing recommendations
Process rental applications including background checks, income verification, and rental references
Assist with move-ins and move-outs
Execute leasing strategies to maintain occupancy goals
Collect rents and follow up on delinquent accounts
Assist with notices and collection procedures
Conduct regular property inspections
Maintain housing regulations, company policies, and operational standards
Utilize Yardi and other systems to manage reporting, leasing, and operational functions
Resolve resident concerns and maintain a high level of customer service
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
