About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager is required to manage, direct, coordinate, and budget, in coordination and at the direction of the project manager and other division personnel, all activities concerned with the Company’s division, including overseeing all project start-up, organization, scheduling, and performance.

Requirements

  • 1+ years in the construction industry
  • Understanding of cost management processes, planning, and scheduling.
  • Computer skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Practical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check related to driving
  • Ability to pass drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or Business Management or three years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience working in construction as a general contractor
  • Experience with the following software: Microsoft Excel, Teams, Team Up, Bluebeam, Outlook, PlanGrid

Responsibilities

  • Creation of project start-up documents
  • Reviewing project documents
  • Creating purchase orders, ordering, and scheduling for material/subs
  • Creating and tracking submittal packages through an approval
  • Tracking daily reports (safety, labor, material usage, general contractor reports)
  • Inventory counts/weekly material transfers
  • Reconciliation of Credit cards
  • Take-offs for change orders/projects
  • Jobsite walks before mobilizations as needed
  • Tracking training/safety records
  • Creation of project close-out documents
  • Inputting data (labor tracker, bag count, etc.)
  • Create estimates and change orders
  • Ability to read and understand scheduling calendar and add to calendar as needed
  • Review and approve time reported and travel pay
  • Create material logs for the scope of work
  • Create pour sheets as needed
  • Creating RFI’s
  • Attending financial review and subcontractor meetings
  • Budget adjustments
  • Prepare billing as required
  • Supervising subcontractors as needed.
  • Follow-up on material, contact, and in the field.
  • Focused on documenting the materials and drawing changes
