About The Position

Daedalus Industrial is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the execution of construction projects focused on low voltage control systems within Datacenters. This role is based on site at project locations and works closely with the Project Manager, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure installations are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of construction experience, preferably in low voltage, controls, or electrical systems.
  • Understanding of low voltage control systems (BAS, lighting controls, fire alarm, or access control), construction documents, and field installation practices.
  • Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and general construction management software (Procore, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced field environments.
  • Strong level of comfort with being on a construction site.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to management.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Controls, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in the planning, scheduling, and execution of low voltage control system installation projects.
  • Coordinate daily activities between field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Support project documentation including submittmits, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout materials.
  • Maintain a consistent onsite presence to monitor installation work and verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and technicians to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Participate in quality inspections, onsite meetings and checkout activities as required.
  • Review construction drawings, schematics, and control system layouts for accuracy and constructability.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, deliveries, and labor hours.
  • Responsible for onsite trailer & all equipment required for teams to perform work.
  • Responsible for site access, visitor scheduling.
  • Build & maintain internal & external customer relationships.
  • Maintain a competency / skills matrix for all personnel & assist in staffing decisions & requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Assist in managing subcontractor performance and documentation.
  • Promote and enforce adherence to company and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews and ensure all system installations meet required standards and specifications.
