About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager with supervisory responsibilities. This role involves daily supervision of all shift operations, coordination with company management and mill representatives, and training and supervision of project staff. The position requires monitoring and enforcing safety policies, developing relationships with outside parties, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals. The Assistant Project Manager will also be responsible for completing reports, representing the company professionally, and disseminating information to various parties including clients, farmers, landowners, and regulatory agencies. The role requires the ability to pass a background check and drug test, maintain a safe driving record, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Some college experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience managing equipment operators or operating equipment directly
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Safe driving record.
  • General knowledge of the principles, practices and processes including current Federal and State laws, statutes, regulations, policies.
  • Ability to use proper judgment or action in emergency or crisis situations.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA exposure control program.
  • Ability to work constructively with vendors and customers.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications; skill in gathering, analyzing and evaluating data.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, other employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business and personnel information.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to type and be proficient in the use of computer and office equipment.
  • Ability to use accuracy in the identification and reporting of data.

Responsibilities

  • Daily supervision of all shift operations
  • Daily coordination and communication with company management and mill representatives
  • Training and supervision of all shift project staff
  • Responsible for monitoring and enforcing all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Continuously develop beneficial relationships with outside parties including customers, vendors, suppliers, and equipment related accounts
  • Constantly coordinate with internal and external parties as required to efficiently and effectively meet the project goals
  • Complete and submit any and all measurables and/or reports as required
  • Represent the company in a professional, organized, and confident manner
  • Coordinate with, and disseminate information to, internal staff, client representatives, farmers, landowners, and regulatory agency personnel as required to successfully fulfill the companies contract obligations
  • Assist with managing project operations, ensuring staff are trained and capable, have necessary equipment, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring equipment maintenance, monitoring project efficiencies, maintaining project operational database, and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and the public.
