About The Position

Hamister Group, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support and manage construction processes for its hotel and healthcare properties. The role offers a construction professional with 2–4 years of experience the opportunity to develop project management skills and take on increasing responsibility across the full project lifecycle. The position is based with a Buffalo, NY company, includes a hybrid work-from-home program, and requires some travel to project sites. The role calls for managing multiple tasks and priorities in a time-sensitive environment.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in hotel or healthcare architecture, engineering, and/or construction project management.
A degree or coursework in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of construction methods, schedules, budgets, drawings, and specifications.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments.
Proficiency in MS Office and other construction management software.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects.
Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and communicate progress and potential delays.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other team members to support project timelines.
Assist with budget tracking, cost estimates, purchase orders, invoices, and change orders.
Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
Maintain accurate project records, meeting notes, progress reports, and documentation.
