The Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects. The position assists in the management of the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome. The Assistant Project Manager works under supervision, assists in the management and/or coordination of on-site staff, and gathers and distributes information. The Assistant Project Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team player, as well as have strong time management, communication, and client service skills. This position will report to our Ft. Myers, FL office.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
  • 5+ years of reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings.
  • 5+ years preparing subcontract scopes and contracts.
  • 3+ years experience with project close out.
  • 2+ years working with cost control systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
  • Flexible and adaptable team player.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong client service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects.
  • Assists in the management of the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome.
  • Works under supervision, assists in the management and/or coordination of on-site staff, and gathers and distributes information.
  • Creates documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
  • Reads and understands construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings.
  • Outlines specifications required for submission to clients and ensures submittals and shop drawings are approved.
  • Prepares subcontract scopes and contracts.
  • Manages project close out.
  • Works with cost control systems.
