About The Position

Seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our access control and security team. This role is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the installation department. Key duties include delivering close-out documents, permits, drawings, as-builts, zone maps, and 100% test letters to clients, job sites, and Fire Marshalls as needed. The Assistant Project Manager will adhere to the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. This position involves delivering necessary materials to and from job sites, running permits, and assisting Project Managers with various functions relative to the New Construction Department. The role also requires working with project managers to determine scheduling for equipment, wire, and materials, and confirming availability with the purchasing department. Ensuring proper supervision and documentation for all equipment and materials leaving the warehouse is crucial. The Assistant Project Manager will also assist in daily communications with field personnel, customers, and other DynaFire employees, and help with inventory control. Additional responsibilities may include delivering and picking up equipment from job sites and distributors, full compliance with DynaFire policies and procedures, and collecting job documentation for Engineering. The role also mandates full compliance with the company’s and client’s safety programs and policies.

Requirements

  • Entry Level Experience between 1-3 years of experience as a Project Management Assistant
  • The Project Manager Assistant shall possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of computers and software is required.
  • FASA/BASA within the first 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting day to day operations of the installation department.
  • Delivering close-out documents, permits, drawings, as-builts, zone maps, 100% test letter and any other documentation requested to the clients/job sites/Fire Marshalls as needed.
  • Adhering to the highest quality standards set forth by DynaFire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment.
  • Delivering necessary materials to and from job sites.
  • Running permits as needed.
  • Assist Project Managers in any additional functions or requests relative to the New Construction Department.
  • Work with the project managers to determine the scheduling necessary to get equipment, wire, and materials ready for the projects.
  • Confirm that the devices, wire, and materials are available in the warehouse or scheduled for delivery from the manufacturers and distributors by working with the purchasing department.
  • Ensure that no equipment or materials leave the staging area or the warehouse without the proper supervision and documentation in place.
  • Assist Project Manager in daily communications, written and verbal, with the field personnel, customer, and other DynaFire employees.
  • Assist with inventory control.
  • May be required to deliver equipment to the job sites.
  • May be required to pick up equipment from job sites and local distributors.
  • Full compliance of DynaFire policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by DynaFire.
  • Full Compliance with the company’s and client’s safety programs and policies.
  • Collect Job documentation to return to Engineering.
