We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Data Center Group in Mount Pleasant, WI. This role is for an up-and-coming manager who is looking to grow and make a meaningful impact on interesting and complex projects. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing MEP scopes on complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects (data centers strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, mechanical cooling infrastructure, and mission-critical redundancy architectures
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-reliability environments
  • Experience with commissioning processes, integrated testing, and critical systems turnover

Responsibilities

  • Support management of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes on large-scale data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning
  • Assist with coordination of design development, constructability reviews, and BIM/clash detection processes
  • Support oversight of critical systems installation including power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, cooling systems, fire protection, and BMS/EPMS
  • Help manage MEP schedules, phasing plans, and sequencing to align with project milestones
  • Assist in subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, contract administration, and performance tracking
  • Support QA/QC processes, inspections, and compliance with mission-critical standards and specifications
  • Track budgets, cost reports, change management, and documentation for MEP scopes
  • Participate in commissioning planning, functional testing, and integrated systems testing activities
  • Assist with closeout activities including O&M manuals, as-builts, attic stock, warranties, and turnover documentation
  • Coordinate with field teams, superintendents, design consultants, commissioning agents, and owner representatives
  • Support safety compliance, site logistics planning, and workface coordination
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, reporting, and MEP deliverables tracking
  • Proactively identify issues and support risk mitigation planning
  • Contribute to preconstruction efforts including budgeting support, constructability input, and trade engagement
