About The Position

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our Revere brand. Candidate will work from our Birmingham, Alabama office location. Our Revere brand is a leading provider of automation and control solutions for the industrial, water and wastewater treatment, power and energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries. We design, build, and implement customized automation and control systems for highly complex projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for aiding Project Engineering teams for all aspects of projects to include planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects to quality standards, within customer expectations and company objectives. You will also be responsible for assisting in the management of projects, for your assigned division, to provide project deliverables to customers on schedule and within budget requirements. You will help maintain ongoing customer interface to keep customers informed and enhance client relations. This position is also responsible for aiding Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Division Management, and Project Engineering Teams for all aspects of projects to include planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects to quality standards, within customer expectations and company objectives. As the Assistant Project Manager, you are responsible for assisting in the management of projects, for your assigned division, to provide project deliverables to customers on schedule and within budget requirements. You will help maintain ongoing customer interface to keep customer informed and enhance client relations, and you will help with supporting projects for your division's clients in the assigned work area, which includes planning, designing, and preparing project plans related to your specific industry.

Requirements

  • Aid Project Engineering teams for all aspects of projects to include planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects to quality standards, within customer expectations and company objectives.
  • Assist in the management of projects, for your assigned division, to provide project deliverables to customers on schedule and within budget requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing customer interface to keep customers informed and enhance client relations.
  • Support projects for your division's clients in the assigned work area, which includes planning, designing, and preparing project plans related to your specific industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Engineering Personnel for project implementation.
  • Learn and use Project Management Tools, Policies and Procedures.
  • Understand Contract Terms and Conditions and their impact on project implementation.
  • Assist with the management of customer expectations and relationships (Customer, Contractor and Consulting Engineer).
  • Provide input to the development and updating of project schedules.
  • Assist with tracking costs and maintaining project budgets.
  • Assist with developing schedule of values and project plans.
  • Identify and monitor project dependencies to ensure project deliverables stay on time, on-target, and on-budget.
  • Assist with coordinating project tasks and interfacing with other departments.
  • Ensure safety measures and procedures through the execution of the project.
  • Assist with developing change order estimates and proposals.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and coordinate responsibilities to project teams and monitor their progress.
  • Minimize project rework and promote greater project success.
  • Monitor and summarize progress of the projects to customers and to management.
  • Update project forecasts monthly.
  • Identify new business opportunities and refer to the sales department.
  • Assist the sales departments in the quotation and estimating process.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
