The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for managing and directing work for all projects as assigned. This role oversees multiple projects and proposals to meet and exceed contract goals and objectives, establishes progress and procurement schedules, and submits documents to the government while disseminating them to appropriate subcontractors and vendors. The Assistant Project Manager maintains general contract and subcontract documentation, supports administrative procedures, and schedules, selects, and directs subcontractors in concert with the project Superintendent. They manage customer and subcontractor relationships for contract changes/modifications, track and process additional requirements, and prepare project reports. This role also reviews subcontractor reports, customer input, briefs management on issues, and coordinates with external vendors and organizations. Additionally, the Assistant Project Manager provides support for invoicing and accounting, ensuring timely and cost-effective performance, and assumes other project responsibilities as necessary. The role also involves scheduling the workforce and site superintendent, selecting and hiring the appropriate labor force, and directing workflow from pre-proposal to completion, executing contract requirements with minimal oversight in line with the FAR.
