Requirements

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2-5 years of progressive construction-related experience.
  • Strong desire to learn, welcomes new challenges, and values collaboration.
  • Organized individual with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables with changing deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partial project ownership, including preparation of construction documents.
  • Project schedule management in collaboration with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Subcontractors.
  • Project budget management and maintenance.
  • Preparation and issuance of Subcontract-specific terms and conditions for estimating.
  • Assisting Preconstruction with buyout.
  • Management of a master submittal schedule and submittal log.
  • Management of material tracking log and deficiency log.
  • Working with the Project Manager on resolving project-specific issues.
  • Assisting the Project Administrator in processing construction documentation.
  • Managing Owner Change Order Requests from RFP to submission.
  • Preparation and distribution of Subcontractor Change Orders and associated budget revisions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly Applications for Payment.
  • Collaborating with Project Administrator and Project Manager on close-out activities.
  • Attending and participating in trade pre-construction meetings to review requirements.
  • Taking minutes for Owner and Subcontractor meetings.
  • Submitting permit applications and tracking project-related permits.
  • Potentially managing small construction projects independently.
  • Participating in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending training, and eliminating hazards.
