About The Position

At IMC Construction, our Assistant Project Managers play a key role in keeping projects organized and moving forward. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to support all phases of a project, from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing projects from post-bid through closeout, helping ensure alignment between scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
  • Support the project team in driving coordination across internal teams and trade partners.
  • Work with Estimating and Project Management to support bid packaging, scope review, and the buyout process.
  • Help ensure subcontractor scopes are complete and coordinated to avoid gaps or overlaps.
  • Assist in developing and tracking project budgets, monitoring cost performance, and supporting change management efforts.
  • Help review subcontractor invoices and contribute to the preparation of owner pay applications.
  • Assist in maintaining the project schedule in collaboration with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Help coordinate materials, trades, and project logistics to keep work progressing as planned.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal interactions.
  • Work with field leadership and Safety to uphold IMC’s “Safety First” culture.
  • Support the implementation and consistent execution of project-specific safety plans to promote a safe jobsite.
  • Support team in day-to-day project activities.
  • Take initiative, stay organized, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
