About The Position

A general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support a mixed-use residential project in Fort Lauderdale. The role will assist in managing project controls, coordination, and documentation on a fast-paced urban build including residential, retail, podium, and amenity spaces. This is a high-visibility role supporting a complex urban project where coordination, speed, and follow-through directly impact delivery success.

Requirements

  • Experience as Project Engineer, APM, or Project Coordinator with a GC/CM
  • Exposure to multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, condo, or commercial vertical projects
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Excel, and document control systems

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support PM and field team with RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and procurement tracking
  • Maintain project logs for RFIs, submittals, changes, permits, inspections, and closeout items
  • Assist with buyout, subcontract documentation, scope comparisons, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate pay applications, commitments, and administrative follow-through with accounting and subs
  • Support punch list, closeout, O&M manuals, warranty process, and turnover readiness
