About The Position

Superior and its tri-venture, CST, are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to contribute to the advancement of their electrical construction projects. This role is crucial for enhancing on-site operational efficiency and involves significant responsibilities in contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration. The position is based on a jobsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and will be an integral part of Superior's Project Operations team.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field — or a Construction Management certificate

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership
