About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager holds responsibility to assist the project team in all aspects of the construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring projects run smoothly from inception to completion.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' construction experience, specifically working for a general contractor on government projects.
  • Experience with treatment plant or pump station work is required.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • A genuine passion for the work and industry is a must.
  • US employment authorization verified by submitting Form I-9 information to E-Verify system no later than the third day of employment.
  • A valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screening.
  • Ability to pass and maintain satisfactory background check(s) for multiple agencies and be badged, as required by the assigned project(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of P6 is desired.
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the project team in all activities related to contract administration.
  • Assist in preparing the project’s schedule, schedule of values, and budgets, as well as updating project schedules as needed.
  • Utilize Procore Software for document control. Set up and maintain required project reports, forms, and logs, and track activities such as shop drawing submittmits, requests for information, field changes, change orders, and the purchase and delivery schedule.
  • Assist in preparation and negotiation of Change Proposals.
  • Manage submittals, ensuring timely submission and release of materials as well as Quality Control.
  • Assist in reviewing subcontractor and vendor requisitions.
  • Provide strong knowledge and oversight of safety and quality control protocols.
  • Utilize prior construction industry work experience.
