About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager will support the management of Capital and Tenant Improvement (TI) projects, as necessary. This role involves coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The position also ensures that records for building drawings are accurate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience with Adobe editing software or Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Understanding of building codes and standards
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Proven ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must show initiative in job performance, including the ability to anticipate needs before they arise
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and objectivity under pressure
  • Skilled in handling problems in the workplace with the ability to anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and customers
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information, data and perform basic mathematical functions

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage Capital and Tenant Improvement (TI) projects under supervision of the Director of Project Management or other Project Managers, including: Writing scopes of work based on projects and business needs, Estimating project costs based on written scope, Completing contractor selection based on pricing, availability, and the likelihood of successful project completion, Coordinating project schedules with Property Management teams, Leasing teams, and tenants, Providing construction oversight for all projects under direct responsibility, Completing all closeout documentation and necessary billing activities
  • Assist with capital planning and property walkthroughs for budgeting purposes
  • Assist the Transaction and Development department with space planning and preparation of marketing materials as needed
  • Maintain accurate building records of changes related to expansions, buildouts, and new purchases
  • Develop building stacking plans as tenants move in and out of suites
  • Develop drawings showing locations of utility meters, HVAC units, and emergency protection systems
  • Assist other departments within Weston, as necessary
