Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical coordination, data center construction, and fit-out projects.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems related to data centers.
  • Experience with project management, budgeting, and scheduling in a critical path environment.
  • Proven leadership in project execution, risk management, and staff development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with FieldLens, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the construction planning for mission-critical systems related to data centers, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Act as a value engineering and innovative leader for negotiated or potential projects.
  • Lead design-build efforts when required.
  • Ensure the project is adequately staffed and resources are allocated correctly.
  • Conduct estimating handoff and project kick-off meetings.
  • Ensure that all project planning and pre-planning processes are completed, including risk management strategies.
  • Draft and analyze subcontracts and create subcontractor bid tabs.
  • Lead the pre-qualification process for subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent on material, rental equipment, and forming system purchases.
  • Prepare and submit proposed changes to the Owner.
  • Chair weekly project meetings and provide monthly billing to the Owner.
  • Maintain and update change orders, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to the project schedule.
  • Expedite material deliveries, monitor safety programs, and review job cost reports to prepare forecasts.
  • Manage the close-out process for mission-critical/mechanical and electrical systems, including warranties, as-built drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards and safety protocols.
