About The Position

This position will allow the incumbent to both work in the field, as well as assist with overall project management. This role requires collaboration with internal departments as well as direct interface with the customer and subcontractors. Additionally, the incumbent assists in management and/or coordination of on-site staff and ensures project documentation is up to date and distributed as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field desired. A minimum of 2-3 years commercial construction field experience is also desired.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to solve constantly evolving problems while working with a team to find a solution that is best for the project/team.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit, review, and scope subcontractor and vendor bids, quotations, and related contract specification sections.
  • Overseeing and making decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, and quality control.
  • Overseeing work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation. Resolving local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment, schedule and all other appropriate matters.
  • Maintain documentation – daily logs, schedules, checklists, punch lists, permits & inspections, etc.
  • Managing the site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with HG standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Review and understand contract documents (plan and specifications).
  • Assist with project start up, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization.
  • Lead subcontractor start up meetings.
  • Lead and facilitate project coordination meetings (MEP, site utility/logistics, phasing plan, etc.).
  • Create and manage tracking logs, including concrete, rebar, and stone.
  • Meet with respective authorities having jurisdiction to understand inspection and compliance requirements.
  • Enter and update information in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFI’s).
  • Resolve daily problems and expedite materials in conjunction with field supervision.
  • Manage punch list and work with subcontractors to execute the punch list in accordance with project schedule.
  • Manage project closeout (closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting).
