About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager provides project management and innovation assistance for assigned projects that contribute to business growth. The Assistant Project Manager Innovation role is a key contributor to the overall innovation management team responsible for working with cross functional teams in planning the execution of the Innovation Pipeline. The Assistant Project Manager BU Innovation role is an entry-level role that works closely with the larger team to execute strategic business and marketing plans to achieve corporate and product volume profit and share objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, food science, marketing or other related discipline preferred.
  • Formal certification in Project Management preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant project management experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include time management skills.
  • Strong influencing skills, with internal cross-functional and external stakeholders is required.
  • Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Office products and MS Project and able to generate graphs, presentations, and charts.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross functional teams, proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is required.
  • Attention to detail and strength in execution, ability to assist with multiple projects simultaneously, and strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in achieving volume and profit objectives for assigned categories reflecting overall corporate goals.
  • Building and deploying project plans with clearly outlined objectives, timing, and risks.
  • Communicating and aligning key resources at all levels of the organization on assigned projects.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams for assigned projects which will include conducting meetings to ensure alignment.
  • Exercise fundamental, sound project management techniques and workflow processes when executing assigned projects.
  • Focus on updating specs for branded and private label projects to include setting up timelines, coordination of tasks which include packaging/ingredient runouts, communicating and conducting calls with stakeholders, risk assessments and delivering projects on time.
  • May assist and lead smaller-scope projects independently.
