About The Position

EnSafe is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Scientist or Geologist for their Jacksonville, FL; Pensacola, FL; or Tampa, FL office. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of environmental assessment/remediation experience.
  • Experience performing and/or reviewing Phase I ESAs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA processes, including RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, and LTM, with experience preparing and reviewing associated technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting federal projects; prior work with DoD and/or Navy projects strongly preferred.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training and certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project support tools, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and provide mentorship or technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and work ethic.
  • Willingness and ability to travel in support of project needs, including overnight travel (approximately 30% regional travel).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to operate a vehicle for project-related travel.
  • Strong focus on responsiveness, quality, and client service to support and maintain EnSafe’s client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight under CERCLA, RCRA, and state-specific guidance.
  • Lead technical teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors.
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop Work Plans and/or Sampling and Analysis Plans.
  • Conduct site investigation activities, including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials.
  • Lead Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Compile and interpret investigation data and write technical reports.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of technologies, designing pilot/bench tests, and designing and implementing remedial/corrective actions.
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
  • Support marketing/business development efforts.
  • Project sites may include Superfund sites, large and complex federal facilities, or military installations, and commercial or industrial properties.
