About The Position

Adams, Inc. is a growing, family-owned contractor serving Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, delivering high-quality electrical, generator, HVAC, plumbing, solar, and smart home solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Commercial & Industrial Electrical Division and help manage projects from award through completion. The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, execution, and administration of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Working alongside Project Managers, field leaders, customers, and vendors, this role helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field who is looking to develop a long-term career in electrical construction project management.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Internship, co-op, or professional experience in construction, electrical contracting, manufacturing, or project coordination preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Desire to learn commercial and industrial electrical construction
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and able to quickly learn applicable software applications

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in managing commercial and industrial electrical projects
  • Support project scheduling, manpower planning, and material procurement activities
  • Track project budgets, labor productivity, and job costs
  • Assist with change orders, project documentation, RFIs, and submittals
  • Coordinate communication between customers, contractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Attend project meetings and provide status updates
  • Support project forecasting, reporting, and closeout activities
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Conduct occasional jobsite visits to monitor project progress
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation
