Assistant Project Manager I Civil We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager I to support the planning, execution, and closeout of civil construction projects across the western U.S. Working under the direction of a Project Manager or APM II, you'll assist with scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, and field coordination on transmission line ROW, substation civil work, site development, and remediation projects. This is a foundational role with a direct path to APM II and Project Manag er. Assistant Project Manager II Civil We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager II to independently support the planning, execution, and closeout of civil construction projects across the western U.S. You'll apply specialized knowledge in project controls, cost forecasting, and regulatory compliance — coordinating directly with engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies on transmission line ROW, substation civil, site development, and remediation projects. This role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and offers a clear path to Project Manager. Project Focus Transmission line ROW and powerline right-of-way grading Substation civil construction and site development Pad construction and infrastructure sitework Site remediation and environmental restoration Data center civil infrastructure support Both positions are office-based in Coalville, UT, with frequent travel to project sites. Some assignments may include extended field rotations.

Requirements

  • 0–3 years in construction, utility project support, or a related field.
  • Active enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree in Construction Management , Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; comparable field experience accepted.
  • Internship or co-op experience in project coordination is a plus.
  • Familiarity with civil construction documents, grading plans, or site development a plus.
  • OSHA 10-Hour or completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license .
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
  • 2–5 years of progressive civil construction or project coordination experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project documentation, cost controls, and client coordination with increasing independence.
  • Familiarity with transmission line ROW, substation civil, SWPPP compliance, or data center infrastructure construction.
  • HeavyBid estimating experience or exposure to civil construction estimating processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management , Civil Engineering, or closely related field .
  • OSHA 10-Hour ; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Valid driver's license .
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Attend project meetings, record minutes, and track action items.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate internal communications between estimating, field, and management teams.
  • Day-to-day project coordination tasks under direct PM supervision.
  • Building foundational knowledge of construction sequencing, contracts, and field operations.
  • Basic cost tracking, schedule monitoring, and material delivery coordination.
  • Cost forecasting, budget variance analysis, and detailed financial reporting.
  • Interpretation of complex construction documents and engineering plans.
  • Direct coordination with licensed engineers, regulatory agencies, and clients.
  • Guidance and support for APM I staff and project coordinators.
