Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • 2+ years of land development experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • North Carolina EI (Engineer-in-Training) registration
  • Experience with Ajera or similar project management software
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and agency coordination

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Success: Partner with Project Managers to deliver accurate, high-quality land development projects.
  • Help keep projects on track by supporting schedules, budgets, and overall performance.
  • Design & Technical Work: Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design: Grading and erosion control plans, Water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
  • Apply survey data and develop a strong understanding of how it impacts design.
  • Coordinate & Communicate: Work with clients and regulatory agencies to move projects through approvals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Documentation & Problem Solving: Prepare plans, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Assist with permitting and agency coordination.
  • Identify challenges, gather information, and help develop practical solutions.
