Position Summary: The Alternate Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Manager in the daily management and coordination of healthcare services provided under the contract. The APM serves as the primary point of contact for the Government in the absence of the PM and assumes full PM authority and responsibilities during such periods to ensure uninterrupted contract performance.

Requirements

  • Must possess board certification and current, full, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) at a minimum. Licensure must be maintained for the duration of the contract.
  • Baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited healthcare program (accredited by CHEA, U.S. Department of Education, ACEN, or CCNE).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional healthcare experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience successfully managing a Health Unit, Urgent Care Clinic, Doctor’s Office, or Emergency Department.
  • At least three (3) consecutive years of management experience, with successful management within the last three (3) years.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, email communication, and Government-provided EMR systems.
  • Ability to support operational management and decision-making in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant studies, Health Care Administration, or Medicine is preferred.
  • U.S. citizens educated at foreign institutions must hold an active, unrestricted U.S. state license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the PM with the management, coordination, and oversight of all contract operations.
  • Act as the Government’s point of contact in the absence of the PM and exercise full decision-making authority during such periods.
  • Maintain on-site presence during core duty hours on all training days and any additional training days.
  • Support supervision of clinical and administrative staff and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring staffing levels, credentialing, licensing, and clinical operations.
  • Support preparation and submission of required reports to the CO/COR.
  • Ensure proper use and compliance with Government-provided EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Identify operational issues and assist with corrective action planning and implementation.
  • Immediately report any changes, restrictions, or limitations to professional licensure to the employer and the CO/COR.
  • Coordinate with the PM to ensure continuity of healthcare operations and services.
