As the Assistant Program Manager (APM) for Capacity Planning, you will execute the full Discovery-to-BAU cycle for capacity planning under the oversight of the Program Manager, serving as the primary builder of capacity planning models across Amazon Travel & Events. This role combines project management expertise with analytical capabilities to deliver validated models that support workforce planning and operational efficiency. You will conduct comprehensive scope assessments, design and execute time study analyses, facilitate stakeholder working sessions, and construct detailed capacity planning models that enable data-driven workforce decisions across the organization. This position requires you to balance multiple concurrent initiatives across 4–8 week build cycles, coordinating between technical data teams and operational stakeholders while maintaining rigorous documentation and project tracking. Secondarily, you will contribute to KPI Program support, assisting with the implementation of new and revised key performance indicators that measure operational health and goal achievement. The ideal candidate brings capacity planning or workforce analytics experience, advanced Excel proficiency, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholder groups.
