The Assistant Program Manager (APM)/Program Manager (PM) supports the Bradley Damage Assessment Repair (BDAR) program leadership. This key leadership position is a pivotal role within American Rheinmetall focusing on the successful delivery of the critical BDAR program. The APM/PM supports and leads BDAR in the planning, coordination, and execution of programs to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Manages day-to-day program activities, track performance metrics, coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders, and assists in resolving program risks and issues. Position is located in Auburn Hills, MI with travel to Poland as required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and procurement.
  • Familiarity with the US Army TACOM/ and GVSC.
  • Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently.
  • Detailed knowledge of Military Standards and Regulations.
  • Minimum of 10 Years’ Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs, preferably in vehicle domain from start to serial production.
  • Must possess valid U.S. Passport.
  • Experience in working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.
  • Experience in capture, bid contract negotiations, and planning delivery.

  • Ability to speak Polish is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assists or directly plans, organizes, and executes program activities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of program schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Track program performance and provide regular status updates, reports, and briefings to leadership.
  • Monitor risks, issues, and action items and support mitigation strategies.
  • Support customer and stakeholder communications, including preparation of briefings and meeting materials.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
  • Maintain program documentation, including schedules, reports, and contractual deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agenda preparation and follow-up actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Travel as required.
