Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Clinical Counseling or other relevant behavioral science required.
  • 3-5 years of proven Management experience.
  • Licensed Child Care Administrator is required (if not currently held, applicant must be eligible for license and obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned sciences, plus 4 years of experience as the director of a residential childcare program, residential youth program, or similar program for children and adolescents; or 4 years of progressive project management experience on projects demonstrating advanced levels of financial and managerial responsibilities.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as secondary liaison with ORR and ensure compliance with ORR, licensing, funding source, and internal policies.
  • Oversee daily residential program operations and administrative functions in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Provide focused supervision and coordination of assigned departments to ensure effective staffing, service delivery, and youth care.
  • Support program planning, reporting, and performance monitoring aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant facility environment, including emergency preparedness and evacuation response.
  • Address youth grievances, behavioral escalations, and critical incidents while supporting appropriate resolutions.
  • Responsible for residential care services which includes coordination of client referrals and intakes; scheduling of staffing and daily activities; ensuring that all UC residential services required by ORR are in compliance; and participating in the recruitment and evaluation of staff.
  • Serves as secondary liaison with Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR).
