The Assistant Program Director (APD) is a senior leadership role on Kid Power’s Elementary Programs Team, working across High Impact Tutoring (HIT) and Out-of-School Time (OST) programming. This role leads school partnership management and continuous improvement, supervises senior staff members, and shares leadership for strong daily operations, team coordination and progress towards program goals. The APD sets priorities, creates action plans, supports implementation, coordinates across functions and identifies solutions when challenges arise. Kid Power is a trusted community nonprofit that values collaboration, community building, and youth leadership. Founded in 2002, Kid Power serves over 500 youth daily and reaches more than 1,000 youth annually through its evidence-based programs grounded in social emotional wellness, academic confidence, and civic engagement. This position is part of Kid Power’s strategic growth to expand its Washington, DC programming into Montgomery County, MD.
