About The Position

The Assistant Program Manager role involves maintaining professional relationships with clients, ensuring client confidentiality, and adhering to all relevant security and privacy policies. This position requires understanding and communicating contract requirements to staff, setting performance targets, and conducting client progress reviews. The role also includes file reviews, quality assurance, report preparation, and assisting in programmatic improvements based on data analysis. Additionally, the Assistant Program Manager will organize training opportunities, support the Program Manager in overseeing the program, and confer with management on programmatic and personnel issues. Attendance at various meetings and timesheet review are also part of the responsibilities. Depending on needs, the role may also involve performance appraisals, marketing and outreach strategies, networking, and direct client service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and two years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to maintain clearance of the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Sex Offender Registry (SOR), The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), The New York City Department of Education (DOE), The New York State Central Registrar (SCR), The New York State Staff Exclusion List (SEL), and Criminal History Review throughout the duration of employment.
  • Must take S-95/F-07 test and obtain FDNY Certificate of Fitness within two weeks of hire.
  • Must participate in 5 hour Foundations in Health and Safety and Mandated Reporter training.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
  • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy policies.
  • Communicate with peers in other CAMBA programs on issues related to client progress.
  • Understand all aspects of contract requirements and communicate this understanding to staff.
  • Work with staff to set realistic weekly and monthly performance targets in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Observe direct reporting staff engaging with clients and/or supervisory staff.
  • Conduct weekly client progress reviews with staff.
  • Conduct periodic internal file review and implement Quality Assurance measures.
  • Prepare reports and statistical information for CAMBA management and funder use.
  • Assist in the analysis of program and demographic data to make programmatic improvements.
  • Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for professional development of staff.
  • Assist the Program Manager in providing oversight for all aspects of the program in his/her absence.
  • Confer with the Program Manager and/or other CAMBA management staff as needed regarding programmatic and personnel issues.
  • Attend staff/funder/outside agency meetings as requested.
  • Review and sign timesheets.
  • May prepare performance appraisals for direct reporting staff members.
  • May develop appropriate marketing material and marketing/outreach strategies for the program.
  • May network both within and outside CAMBA to expand client recruitment and opportunities for client success.
  • May have direct client service/program responsibilities in addition to the above.
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time.
