About The Position

The University of Dayton School of Law is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 16, 2027. The School of Law is known for its innovation, offering a nationally recognized curriculum, one of the first online JD programs, successful non-JD programs, and international partnerships. The position involves teaching in both hybrid and residential programs, with a focus on business organizations and related fields. The University of Dayton is a large Catholic university in Ohio, committed to experiential learning and grounded in its Catholic, Marianist tradition. Requirements

  • J.D. from an Accredited U.S. law school or the equivalent from an international law school
  • Potential for sustained scholarly productivity
  • Interest and potential to successfully teach business organizations and related courses
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Teach in our hybrid and residential programs in the areas of need that include business organizations and related fields.
  • Contribute to the development of UDSL's hybrid online J.D. program.
  • Engage in scholarly productivity.
  • Mentor students, potentially from underrepresented groups.
  • Contribute to the university community, including service to the community, university, and profession.
