About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. Physician faculty are responsible for resident and medical student education, resident supervision, and direct patient care. Physician faculty members each carry a panel of resident mentees to whom they serve as a faculty mentor. The resident mentees report directly to their assigned faculty member. Physician faculty report directly to the Residency Director.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine
• Residency trained
• Board certification
• Arkansas state medical license
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Responsibilities

• Resident and medical student education
• Resident supervision
• Direct patient care
• Serve as a faculty mentor to a panel of resident mentees
