About The Position

This position is for an Assistant Professor in the COM | Peds Rheumatology Department. The role involves building a strong academic career and making significant contributions to the discipline, department, and College of Medicine. Time allocation is anticipated to be 80% clinical activity, 10% research, and 10% academic time, subject to review and evaluation. Other duties may be assigned to ensure the needs of Arkansas children are met.

Requirements

MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent required.
Successful completion in pediatric residency program.
Focused training in Pediatric Rheumatology.
Arkansas medical licensure.
Board eligible or board certification in pediatrics.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in alignment with the mission and goals of the College of Medicine.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, with a focus on addressing the healthcare needs of children in Arkansas.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.
Engage in academic activities, including teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the development of educational programs within the College of Medicine.
Participate in scholarly activities, such as research, presentations, or quality improvement initiatives, consistent with personal academic goals and College expectations.
