About The Position
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time physician at the academic rank of Assistant Professor in the appointment stream. The physician will join an established OB/GYN department with a residency program of 40 residents and subspecialty fellowships in maternal-fetal medicine, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, medical genetics, gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, infectious diseases, and family planning. The physician will devote 80% of professional effort to OB/GYN clinical care, including services at Magee-Womens Hospital, outpatient visits at satellite offices, and patient care in ambulatory settings. The role also includes office coverage, on-call duties, and other clinical activities reasonably assigned by the Department Chair. The remaining 20% of effort will be dedicated to teaching, research, and service within the School of Medicine, with a primary focus on research.
Requirements
- MD or DO.
- Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Demonstrated teaching ability and experience in advanced study and research.
- At least two years of experience guiding and mentoring students.
- At least two years of clinical experience with patients in outpatient and hospital settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide OB/GYN clinical care at Magee-Womens Hospital, satellite offices, and ambulatory settings.
- Provide office coverage and fulfill on-call duties.
- Perform other clinical activities reasonably assigned by the Department Chair.
- Participate in teaching, research, and service within the School of Medicine, with a primary focus on research.
