About The Position

This position is within the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, specializing in General Cardiology at Emory Heart & Vascular. The proposed academic appointment is Assistant Professor with a full-time (1.0 FTE) commitment. The primary work location is Emory University Hospital (EUH), with duties also performed at Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM) and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital (ESJH).

Requirements

MD or equivalent degree.
Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology.
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiology fellowship program.
Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
Ability to obtain Emory University medical staff privileges.
Proficiency in interpretation of CT/CTAs.
Proficiency in TEE and Intra-procedural TEE.
Experience in outpatient cardiology clinic settings.
Willingness to perform administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Serve as the attending physician in the CICU for 10 weeks per year.
Interpret CT/CTAs.
Perform TEE and Intra-procedural TEE at EUH, EUHM, and ESJH.
Conduct 4 outpatient cardiology clinic sessions per week (location TBD).
Fulfill 1 administrative session per week.
Clinical duties are subject to change at the discretion of the Emory Heart & Vascular Executive Director based on operational and strategic needs.
