The Department of History at Stanford University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in United States history with a focus on the United States’ international engagements during the 20th and 21st centuries. Candidates who utilize transnational, international, or global history perspectives and work with multiple languages and non-U.S. resources are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should exhibit evidence of scholarly originality and distinction, as well as a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in History at the time of appointment and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
