About The Position

We are seeking a scholar who will contribute to the department’s research mission and doctoral program. Because the area of specialization is open, we welcome candidates working across the breadth of criminology and criminal justice and using a range of theoretical, methodological, and interdisciplinary approaches. The successful candidate should demonstrate research productivity and the potential to develop an externally funded research program. Evidence of effective university teaching, either in person or online, is preferred.

Requirements

Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related social science discipline prior to the date of appointment.
J.D. degrees are not acceptable.
Evidence of a publication record.
ABDs will be considered, but the degree must be conferred prior to the date of appointment.

Strong record of scholarly publication.
Evidence of effective teaching at the university level.
Evidence of grant experience or potential to secure external funding.
Potential to make a significant contribution to the department’s doctoral program.
