About The Position

Full-time tenure track or non-tenure track faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the Assistant Professor level with a clinical emphasis in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Requirements

  • Board eligible or board certified in Surgery.
  • Completion of a fellowship or additional training in metabolic and bariatric surgery.
  • Background in teaching and research.

Responsibilities

  • Hold a teaching faculty appointment with the School of Medicine.
  • Expected to teach and mentor both medical students and residents in the area of general surgery in particular Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
  • Participate as an active clinical member of the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Division.
  • Perform academic research related to Metabolic and Bariatric surgery.
  • Participate on departmental and university committees as assigned.
