About The Position
Full-time tenure track or non-tenure track faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the Assistant Professor level with a clinical emphasis in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified in Surgery.
- Completion of a fellowship or additional training in metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- Background in teaching and research.
Responsibilities
- Hold a teaching faculty appointment with the School of Medicine.
- Expected to teach and mentor both medical students and residents in the area of general surgery in particular Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
- Participate as an active clinical member of the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Division.
- Perform academic research related to Metabolic and Bariatric surgery.
- Participate on departmental and university committees as assigned.
