This faculty position will focus on computational cancer genomics, systems biology, and data driven precision oncology. The position will report to the Chief, Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine. The Research Assistant Professor will work closely with the lymphoma group, understanding tumor immune microenvironment (TME) analysis, lymphoma and hematologic malignancies, cancer immunotherapy & CAR T – cell biology, and multi-omics & machine learning approaches. The Research Assistant Professor will manage research projects, and will supervise research projects of interns, undergraduate or graduate students. It may lecture and/or conduct demonstrations and teach across UM schools. The Research Assistant Professor will partner and collaborate with other faculty in the Department of Medicine, and perhaps other departments throughout SCCC/UM-MSOM and UHealth, to advance scientific discovery, enhance clinical innovation and strengthen cancer-relevant hematologic research. The incumbent will be expected to seek and participate in federally funded research projects, collaborative grants, and play a key role in the development of translational computational platforms.
