About The Position

The Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology will provide subspecialty neuroradiology services across clinical sites at the University of Kansas Medical Center. This role includes delivering evidence based, patient centered diagnostic imaging and consultation across a broad range of neurologic conditions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care. The position supports a 100 percent neuroradiology practice and includes opportunities for education, clinical research, and academic engagement.

Requirements

  • MD, DO or equivalent.
  • ABR board certified/eligible in Radiology.
  • ABR CAQ board certified/eligible in Neuroradiology.
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri.
  • Completion of a Neuroradiology fellowship, from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subspecialty neuroradiology interpretation and consultation, delivering evidence based diagnostic imaging services across a broad range of neurologic conditions.
  • Interpret neuroradiology studies including MRI, CT, and advanced imaging modalities to support accurate diagnosis and clinical decision making.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation and reporting of imaging studies to support continuity of care and billing requirements.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies and tools to support clinical care and innovation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care, education, research, and quality improvement initiatives within the Department.
  • Instruct and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical and educational settings; provide coaching appropriate to the learner’s level and evaluate learner performance.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, departmental meetings, seminars, and faculty activities as permitted by clinical and academic responsibilities.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, clinical research, and quality improvement efforts aligned with the missions of the department, which may include translational or technology driven initiatives.
