About The Position

The Computer Science Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin September 1, 2027. We will consider strong candidates in the broad fields of quantum computing and/or quantum information. A PhD in computer science or a related area is required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and start-up package and is expected to establish a highly recognized, externally funded, independent research program. The Computer Science Department at UMass Boston is a vibrant and collegial group of faculty with research interests in Artificial intelligence, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Neural networks and programming languages, and significant graduate and undergraduate programs.
