About The Position

The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Public Administration, beginning August 16, 2027. The successful candidate will take an active role in the department’s graduate Master of Public Administration (MPA) program and contribute to undergraduate teaching. While we welcome applicants from all subfields of public administration, we are particularly interested in candidates with research and teaching interests in public budgeting, financial management, or nonprofit management.

Requirements

  • A completed Ph.D. in public administration, public policy, political science, or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
  • Demonstrate a strong research agenda with a clear trajectory for peer-reviewed scholarly publication.

Nice To Haves

  • Research and teaching interests in public budgeting, financial management, or nonprofit management.
