About The Position

The Social Science Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University is seeking a Tenure-Track faculty member in Psychological Science to begin August 1, 2027. The position is open to candidates from any area within Psychology, with a preference for specializations in developmental and/or neuroscience. The role involves teaching undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Psychological Science, Statistics, or Research Methods, as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in the candidate's specialty. The program aims to launch a new neuroscience minor, and the university is particularly interested in candidates whose research aligns with shared laboratory space and collaborative resources. A Ph.D. in Psychology is required (ABD candidates will be considered), along with an active scholarly agenda and a commitment to teaching excellence within a Christian liberal arts environment. Successful applicants must demonstrate an active commitment to the University's Christian mission and support Seaver College's mission.
