The Department of Political Science invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in International Relations beginning August 16, 2027. A completed Ph.D. in political science or a closely related field is required for appointment. Global politics is currently in an era of large-scale transformations, including geopolitical shifts, environmental change, migration crises, technological innovation, and new patterns of warfare. The department seeks to hire an innovative scholar whose research explores emerging trends and advances the development of new theoretical and methodological approaches to understanding these transformations and the challenges they pose for global governance. The successful candidate should have a strong research agenda with a clear plan for peer-reviewed scholarly publications. The regular teaching load for this position is two courses per semester, and the selected candidate will take an active role in undergraduate teaching and in the department’s graduate program.
