About The Position

The Biology Department at the University of Redlands invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Molecular/Cellular Biology. The successful candidate will teach non-majors and majors in both lectures and laboratories for the equivalent of 24 units. The successful candidate is expected to build a productive research program involving undergraduates in research through close mentorship and be dedicated to personally advising students. We seek expertise in any area of molecular/cellular biology. Collaborations are possible with nearby institutions such as LLUMC. Additionally, students from University of Redlands receive preferred admissions to the following graduate programs: Keck Graduate Institute (Masters in Business and Science, and all other programs in the Riggs School of Applied Sciences); Western University (PharmD and DPM); Loma Linda University (Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy). Requirements

A Ph.D. (by the time of hire) in Biology or a closely related field.
A strong commitment to quality undergraduate education.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preparation for teaching the molecular/cellular component of our introductory biology sequence.
Strengths and experiences working with students from culturally and/or socio-economically diverse backgrounds.
